TPRP Rules

(One instance of any rule breaking may lead to a ban)

  • Age Requirement for Whitelisting: 18+
  • Racism is not tolerated nor allowed for any character persona. You may NOT use racist slangs in-game or on the discord.
  • Police are not allowed to sell PD issued weapons or Body Armor. This will result in IC character punishment and your Whitelist being removed. The server health is not at a place for cops to be selling PD issued gear.
  • Being or breeding toxicity in any platform can have you removed from the community. If you have an issue, please address it properly, not in ways to create drama or be intentionally negative.
  • ANY disrespect or attacks towards any member of staff can result in an immediate ban or denied ban appeal.
  • Working, decent mic is required. (There is a mic check during whitelisting process)
  • Stay in-character at all times when in the server. If there is a problem, roleplay the scenario out and then report it on the forums.
  • Metagaming, Powergaming, RDM, VDM, and FailRP are not allowed.
    • Metagaming:
      • Purposely using or relaying information which your character did not learn in game (Twitch Chats and Discord Channels included) to shape in game roleplay. For Example:
      • Using what you’ve learned from watching other streams and chats to make large leaps in speculation to end up “knowing” how things work, or utilizing such info to “stay ahead of the cops”.
    • Powergaming:
      • Roleplaying outside of your character traits, abusing mechanics, and using means not actually in game to gain an advantage such as:
      • Sprinting/Fighting as soon as you leave the hospital, or are revived by medics
      • Talking/Organizing while downed.
      • Roleplaying you have unrealistic superpowers.
      • Not using /me to notify people of something they should notice. Example: If a cop /me checks over your body - you should reply /me has stab wounds if you were stabbed.
      • Not realistically fearing for your life when you are threatened with weapons or severe harm from other means.
      • Generally stay true to your physical character. Example: If you are an old or overweight characters etc you should always have your physical “level” in mind.
      • Jumping while running around to gain speed in a situation.
      • Spamming your M1 to spam punch in a fight and thus not giving the other player a chance to react.
    • Random Death Match(RDM):
      • Attacking another player/group without any story/roleplay leading up to it.
      • If the story and tension between two gangs has lead up to war, they wouldn’t always need to initiate a situation before shooting at each other.
      • Just deciding you feel like killing and doing so to any person with no warning, or not giving police any notice in a situation.
    • Vehicle Death Match(VDM):
      • Attacking another player/group with a vehicle without any story/roleplay leading up to it.
      • This includes running someone over, even on accident, and just leaving them without making sure they are alright or to call EMS.
      • Ramming into another player’s vehicle with intent to cause it to explode or hurt the player also falls under VDM
    • FailRP:
      • This is the concept of roleplaying in a way that is unrealistic to how things would be in real life.
      • Use common sense. Ask yourself: Is this something I could do in real life? Would it actually work?
      • Driving in unrealistic ways or taking jumps your car/motorcycle could not handle, and then still driving said vehicle is FailRP.
      • Taking jumps from extreme heights and not roleplaying out your injuries is FailRP.
      • Pulling a weapon while inside or outside of MRPD is considered FailRp as there would be many local PD members there.
  • New Life Rule (NLR):
  • If you are downed and respawn at the hospital your character forgets the immediate events leading up to being downed in the current scenario. (You forget the past 30 minutes.) You may not respawn if you’ve been advised that police or EMS is on the way to your scene.
  • Criminal activities are limited to 5 players max at a time. Relaying information to or between characters (lookouts, radio communications) counts you as part of that scenario.
  • Exploiting game mechanics of any kind is not allowed. Example: Duping items to keep and not reporting it, abusing game mechanics in unintended ways for clear non-rp gain.
  • When engaged in active roleplay players shall not disconnect from the server until the scenario has completely ended. Characters involved in criminal activity must be completely clear of any Law Enforcement interaction before disconnecting. Accidental disconnects should be communicated via Discord or TeamSpeak. Combat logging is a bannable offense.
  • There are to be no fake hostages. Meaning you can not be a hostage for a friend and then receive any of the profits of robbing a bank or store. All hostages are to be people you pick up off the street and should have nothing to do with the robbery.
  • While at a Robbery, if a Police officer asks you if you have anyone else on the outside helping you, you need to answer them with 100% honesty. This is to protect both sides from being accused of RDM.

General Overlaying Rules

  • Player Theft & Kidnapping:
    • You can not force your victims to withdraw money from an ATM, sell property, or sell their vehicle.
    • Players can not force their victims to hand over assets that are not present in the area.
    • If the player complies to your demands and you then still decide to kill them it is a rule break.
    • Robbing Cops or EMS needs to have a real reason to add to a story.
  • No Crime Zones:
    • We don’t have many NCZ areas, The only NCZ areas are when a player is in a menu and has no chance to react to the situation.
    • Examples: Clothing Store, Car Store, Barber Shop, and Character Creation.
    • Players may not go to a NCZ after engaging in criminal activity resulting in an ongoing chase.
  • Your character may only own/rent one (1) motel room in the city, and one (1) in the north.
  • Aircraft of any kind are not to be flown unless it is by a trained PD or EMS official. Either that or there is a big story behind this action to explain why you have an aircraft.
  • All emergency personnel are expected to FearRP. If you are found not realistically fearing for your life in a situation where you should, you could have your whitelist status revoked.
  • SexRP, RapeRP & SuicideRP are NOT permitted on this server by any means. RapeRP is an immediate and permanent ban, no appeal, no questions.

Staff can and will take action on rule breaks without a player report!

Guidelines (Continued disregard of these may lead to a loss of Priority and/or a ban)

  • Characters:When creating a character you are not just putting a name on a model. Also consider:
    • What are the personality traits of your character? Shy or confident? Hard working or lazy?
    • Give your character some strengths and weaknesses and think about how your character would react to things based on those traits.
    • What is the background for this character? Where do they come from? While this doesn’t have to be very detailed, putting some thought into this will make it easier to roleplay the character.
    • Remember to stick to these character traits! You’re playing the life of this character so their experiences should let your character evolve. Let the consequences of your actions have an effect on your character.
    • Your character can’t be all things or involved in everything. If there’s something else you’d like to try out consider creating another character and building a story up to it. Example: A character shouldn’t be a Lawyer-CEO-Gangster-Psycho-Rambo who tries to be involved in all of the criminal groups.
    • Be mindful about how you try to enter ongoing scenarios and storylines. You can interact with people to see if an opportunity shows itself but don’t just show up out of nowhere trying to impact or steer a current storyline if your story hasn’t lead up to it. Example: A couple of characters are involved in a storyline where they perform a job or own a business and then another character shows up out of nowhere and kidnaps one without any lead-up but just to antagonize them or what they’re doing.
    • Once your character has reached or failed to reach their goals, it might be time to consider this character’s story is coming to an end. Perhaps consider other new characters you might want to play.
    • Character names must be realistic and resemble real world names.
    • Character names cannot be names of famous people.
    • Character must not be “Default Danny” (just joining the server and not making an actual character, leaving it as the defaulted look)
    • If you were to “permadeath” a character with a whitelisted job, you cannot create another character and apply for the same whitelisted job. This lifts after 30 days.
    • Players may not transfer assets to other players or to other characters they own without proper IC reason. Doing so will be treated as Real World Trading (RWT) unless approved by an admin.
  • A player may decide that events in their character’s story have lead towards the character being dead for good.

The death of a character can have a big impact on not only its story, but the stories of the characters connected to it.

If your character is downed and you decide it’s time for it’s permadeath, all you need to do is roleplay the scenario out with EMS when they find you.

You may use the /me command to give the EMS/Doctor characters the right indicators. Example: “ /me has no pulse.” leading towards “ /me has died due to their injuries.” EMS NEED CONFIRMATION ON PERMA.

Players are not allowed to bring back characters after you have roleplayed out a death of the character.
  • During their time on TwitchParadise a player will get to interact with characters from all walks of life. From government officials and law enforcement, to small business owners and various types of criminals. The goal is for players to provide each other with an immersive experience and add to each other’s stories.
    • With EMS:
      • If you are downed (by accident or as a victim of a crime) you must wait for police or EMS to arrive. Do not send a distress signal then get picked up by your friends to get taken to the hospital. When help arrives both sides should strive to provide a good scenario for each other. EMS will act in a professional manner during the situation and the civilian will roleplay out their injuries to the best of their ability. Use of /me to provide extra information of vitals and injuries is encouraged
    • With Police:
      • Police will behave in a professional manner towards the public and each other while the public will provide a base level of respect you’d generally give police. Be mindful of when in police custody, and provide info through the use of the /me command for police to use in their investigations.
      • When a player is downed or put in handcuffs by police they are considered being in police custody. Once in custody the current crime or pursuit scenario is over and switches over to an arrest/investigation scenario.
      • During an arrest/investigation scenario friends of the person(s) under arrest may no longer interfere and civilians not needed for questioning or involved should leave the area.
      • Cop Baiting is not allowed. Do not excessively try to gain attention of cops without reason/to just be annoying. Do not try and pull cops away from situations they are currently in, or bother them while they are in a situation. This ruins others flow of RP.
  • Build Up and Pacing: Don’t just rush in to be a master criminal on day one. Let your character make connections and learn how crime works in this city before making big moves like robbing banks or taking on potential rivals.
  • Heat: Criminals should be mindful of the attention from police their actions may generate. Give yourself enough time between your crimes for things to cool down. You should expect to get more police attention, longer jail times/fines, and investigations if you repeatedly commit crimes in a small time frame.
  • Criminal Hierarchy: Eventually your character may learn or come in contact with the structure of the criminal world. All criminals had to work their way up in this structure at some point and this climb can be a very important part of their story. Making connections in this world will help evolve your story.
  • Conflict: While some organizations and criminals may work together from time to time, conflict is expected. Territory, resources, consumers, and power will drive many of these conflicts. Conflict and cooperation both help make stories interesting. Make sure to have good amounts of both. Avoid large alliances that never allow for conflict.
  • Chain Robbing Stores/Banks/Players: Doing so is unrealistic and unnecessary. It can ruin the flow of RP for players, both cops and civilians, and make it unenjoyable for them. Doing this is classed as FailRP and appropriate actions will be taken against you.

  • The setting for our storylines is the State of San Andreas and the counties within it. It’s a state made up of several million people with your characters being a sample of the people in it. Not acknowledging this is considered FailRP.
  • While your characters may vary depending on what you prefer the State of San Andreas will act and should be treated as a realistic state. A lot of the balance for a character may come from this. Example: If a player decides to make a psycho killer and go on a spree the player should expect this type of character to be short-lived and once caught to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Game Mechanics:
  • Players should not be using in game mechanics for blatantly unintended purposes just to gain an edge or activities which don’t produce any story based roleplay. Example: Using the carry mechanic or shooting each other with tasers for no reason in the past.
Players with Priority:
  • These players are to be held to a higher standard than regular whitelisted players in terms of roleplay, being leaders, and story creation/progression. If you want priority, create RP for others, not yourself.
  • Players may take pictures with their phone using the emote. They may record using a camera. The camera may pick up audio if the player is in range to hear the audio (not through walls/glass etc).
  • You should always expect that cops will have body cams/dash cams as cops IRL always have body cams/dash cams.
Multiple Characters(from same player) in one gang/group:
  • This is not allowed. In general try to avoid creating multiple characters involved in the same story/scenarios and could use the same information to push their goals.
